Beckman Insurance Agency - Amusement Park & Family Fun Center Insurance F.A.Q :

Beckman Insurance Agency FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions):

How much will my policy cost?

That generally depends on the type of activity, size of the Family Entertainment Center, revenue, history/experience and claims history. Please complete an application and we can provide a quote within 48 hours. If you have a competing quote, it is very helpful if we know your price point.

I need a quote now – can you help?

We can quote very quickly if all of the information required is provided. If your operation is in a hurry, please complete the online application and provide us with 5 years current loss history.

I am new to operating this business and I need a policy. What information do you need before I can get a quote?

If you are new, please put together a brief resume about yourself, your experience in your former occupations and why you have decided to open the business. Nothing too extensive, but just showing that you have capability and goals in mind.

I am an experienced operator looking for a quote. What do I do to get a quote?

Please complete an application and provide 5 years of currently dated loss history and we can provide your quote within 48 hours. If you do have any claims, please explain any details briefly, as this will help us understand the nature of what happened more accurately.

How do I get my Loss History and where?

Your previous agent(s) will be able to get this information pretty quickly.

Someone is asking for a Certificate of Insurance – what information do you need?

For a Certificate of Insurance, we will need the name, address and if it is urgent, a fax number where we should send the Certificate.

Someone needs to be an “Additional Insured” – is that okay?

For most instances, this is just fine. Please let us know the full name, address and what interest the Additional Insured has in your business.

I have just added/changed/deleted a ride/location/activity. Do I need to notify you?

Yes! Please let us know as soon as possible so you have the appropriate coverage. The information we need to process your request will be the item and the date you wish to have the change effective (i.e. effective date). If you are adding an item, please note we do require information such as the expected revenue if we are adding any activity to your General Liability policy and the value of the item if it is covered under your Property/Inland Marine policy. For any other questions on this topic, please give us a call or send us an email and we will be happy to help.

My business is being sold/transferred to a new owner/family member. Does my policy cover the new owner/family member?

The policy that is issued to you only covers the business as it currently exists – you are unable to transfer the policy. The new owners will need to have a new policy issued, which we can do for you.

How do I cancel my policy?

It is important that you notify us right away, because every day that your policy is in-force is a day you will be charged. Our office will forward to you a Cancellation Request Form, which you will need to sign and return.

Claims – How do I notify you if I have an incident report or claim?

Please complete an Incident Report form and fax or email it to us right away. Phone calls do not begin the claim process, unfortunately; we will need a signed Incident Report. Once we have this, we forward this to the insurance company, who will then assign a claim adjustor and claim number. Please note that Beckman Insurance Agency does not handle the processing of the claim; only the Incident Report.

I am a Steam Model Railroad operator who is looking for liability coverage. Can I get a quote?

We are unable to offer personal insurance, though we do cover clubs who do provide rides to the public. We recommend that you check with the Railroad Clubs where you operate to find out if they have a General Liability policy and if it covers you. We can quote for clubs, just not individuals.

What lines of coverage does Beckman Insurance Agency offer?

Commercial lines for General Liability, Property, Hired/Non-Owned Auto and Worker’s Compensation. Please check with us on other lines we may be adding very soon!

Please note that insurance coverage cannot be bound by phone.
